FLORIBUNDA Acrylic on Paper

May to July is the most vibrant time in my garden. The herbaceous borders are beginning to attract butterflies, which are feeding on delphinium, poppies, lupin, allium and sweet peas. Recent Summers with dryer weather, following very wet Springs have resulted in unusually tall stems and a profusion of greenery. Working with my fingers, as much as a brush, I’ve tried to express the colours, textures and the smell of the garden at this time of year.
